Tiger's Story by Harriet Blackford

Tiger's Story by Harriet Blackford

Tiger’s story is an informative and involving children’s book about a young tiger growing up. This book for kids is All Green.

“Tiger is a small, strong, stripey cub.
He lives with his mother and sisters
In a forest in India. He walks quietly
On his big soft paws and twitches his
long stripey tail.

The young tiger learns about life in the forest and establishes his own territory to live in. This is after he has had a close scrape with another Tiger whose territory he has encroached on.

Manya Stojic’s illustrations are bold and colourful in this delightful children’s book.
The author Harriet Blackford has created a children’s book that will both educate your children and entertain them.

The note from the author Harriet Blackford undoubtedly makes this children’s book an All Green Children’s book. The reason is that the note contains comprehensive environmental information about the Tiger.

Tigers are an endangered species that in the past was hunted as a sport. Now poachers kill Tiger’s illegally to use parts of their bodies for traditional medicine. Also, the Tiger’s habitat is being destroyed with the forests cut down to put up buildings. This reduces the territory available for Tigers to survive and thrive.
