Mr Bear’s New Baby is a delightful children’s story book that all parents will relate to and will enjoy. Debi Gliori is both the author and talented illustrator of this children’s story book.

“It is way past bedtime in the forest, but lights are on in Mr Bear’s house because the new baby just won’t stop crying. Nothing will soothe the baby – until her big sister has an idea”

I well remember, when one of the children would not stop crying. It may have been sometime ago but it is still firmly imprinted in my memory.

I am sure that you will appreciate Debi Gliori’s fine illustrations of Mr Bear’s sleepless neighbours who came calling with things to help the new baby sleep.

In particular the illustration of: “Mr River – Frogge brought his children’s favourite lily-pad. But that was too wet”

As a children’s story book Mr Bear’s New Baby is evaluated as Not Green. I am however, sure that you will enjoy reading the book to your child. My only hope is that you do not despair as your child will not go to sleep. It may seem as if it will never happen but eventually your child will fall asleep.
