 On the subject of Children’s Books I have just made a great find. The find is Pratham Books who started in 2004. A fantastic cause which I am sure would really appreciate your help if you are up for it.
Pratham books for kids is a not for profit trust that has as its purpose publishing high quality books for children. These children’s books must be affordable and are in multiple Indian languages.
The initiative to produce low cost children’s books arose out of the lack of affordable books for children in India. The lack of affordable children’s books had a direct impact on access to children’s books and the ability of children to read and to learn to read.
Pratham Books have produced an imprint called Read India Books which is the first brand that they have created. The plan is to publish a further 100 children’s book titles under the Read India Brand in the next year. I wonder how their books would rank on our green rating system.
 The mission statement of Pratham books is simple - A Book in Every Child’s Hand. I think that we would find it very difficult to imagine how many children do not have a book at home.
 If you would like to give Prathambooks.org , a helping hand, I am sure that the children would really appreciate it.
