“When I was staying with Grandpa,” he said, “I helped
Him pick scrunchy red apples every morning.”
“How lovely,” said Mum.”
Grandfather grows everything in his garden which is what Oliver the Grandson really appreciates. Nothing is as good as what you will find with Grandpa in this children’s story book.
Oliver behaves as a lot of young men at this age. At times, his behaviour can be very difficult to accept.
The surprise is that Oliver does not eat fruit. He does not like fruit. When he was staying with Grandpa he only helped with the fruit.
However, there is an unexpected change at the end of this children’s book which I will be surprised if it does not catch you out.
I have struggled with the evaluation of the green rating on this children’s book. The final decision is a Splash Green rather than Light Green. This evaluation may be on the harsh side but I think that it is correct.
